Bank of Baroda has released vacancies for 600 posts of Probationary Officer (P.O). To get recruitment on this post, candidates will have to get a certificate of Post Graduation in Banking and Finance course. This course will have to be done from Baroda Manipal School of Banking. Applicants will be recruited after completing this course. Graduate degree holders can apply for this job. Online application has started which will run till 2nd July 2018. Contents of the post :


Eligibility for Probationary Officer (P.O) of BOB:


  • A bachelor’s degree with minimum 55% marks.
  • For SC/ST and disabled, the minimum marks are 50%.

Age limit for Probationary Officer (P.O) of BOB:


  •          Minimum 20 yrs of age and maximum 28 years of age on 02nd July 2018. Candidate should not have born before 03rd July 1990 and after 02nd July 1998 (both dates included).
  •          In the limit of maximum age, OBC (non creamy layer) will get a relaxation of 3 years, SC/ST will get a relaxation of 5 years and disabled will get a relaxation of 10 years.

Selection Procedure for Probationary Officer (P.O) of BOB:

  •          Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of online exam, Group-discussion and personal interview.
  •          2 papers will be there in the online exam. First paper objective and the second one, descriptive. This exam will be of total 250 marks.
  •          Candidates obtaining minimum passing marks in the online exam (objective and subjective) will be shortlisted for group-discussion and interview.
  •          Descriptive paper of only those candidates will be checked who will obtain the minimum qualifying marks in the objective paper.
  •          Final merit list will be made on the basis of the marks obtained in online exam, group discussion and the personal interview.

Pattern of objective paper for Probationary Officer (P.O) of BOB:

  •          This paper will be of 200 marks. Candidates will get a total f 2.5 hours of time for this paper.
  •          It will consist of questions from Reasoning and Computer Aptitude, Quantitative Aptitude, General/Economy/Banking awareness and English Language.
  •          One-fourth marks will be deducted for a wrong answer.

Pattern of descriptive paper for Probationary Officer (P.O) of BOB:

  •          This paper will be of 50 marks.
  •          The questions will be related to English Language.
  •          There will be 2 questions in all.
  •          30 minutes will be given to answer these questions.

  •          For OBC and non-reserved class, the application fee is Rs. 600.
  •          For SC/ST and disabled, the application fee is Rs.100.
  •          The fee will have to be paid by debit/credit card or net-baking only. The option for payment will be available on the website at the time of online application.

  •          Login on www.bankofbaroda.com Click on the Careers link given at the top. After that, click on Current Opportunities.
  •          New page will open. Here, there will be a heading, Recruitment of Probationary Officers through Admission of Manipal School of Banking.
  •          Candidates will have to click on Final advertisement link.
  •          This will open an ad related to the post. Read it and see if you are eligible for the post and also read the guidelines to be followed.
  •          Come back to the homepage. Here, click on the apply now link being flashed in the Baroda Manipal School of Banking section with a photo.
  •          Click on Click here for new registration link. Click on continue after reading the guidelines on the new page.
  •          Fill in your name, mobile number, e-mail id etc on the new page which has opened and click on save and next.
  •          After this, click on upload photograph/signature link and upload a passport size colour photo of yourself and a scanned photo of your signature.
  •          The size of the photo should be between 20KB to 50KB. Size of the signature should be between 10KB to 20KB. The format of both the photos should be either jpg or jpeg.
  •          Check the details filled in the online form and click on submit. Remember, no change will be made in the application form after you click on submit.
  •          Make the online payment from the payment option. Take a print out of the e-receipt and keep it carefully with you.
  •          After the online payment, system generated probational registration number and password will be shown on the screen. Note them. Probational registration number and password will also be sent to the registered mobile number and e-mail id.
  •          Take a print out of the system generated application form and keep it carefully.

·         For the candidates to be recruited on the post of probationary officer, it is important that the minimum educational qualification be received by 02nd July 218.
·         Recruitment on the post of probationary officer in Bank Of Baroda will only be done when a candidate finishes the post graduation in banking and finance. Applicants for this post will be selected for the April 2018 - March 2019 course in Baroda Manipal School of Banking.
·         Applicants who will successfully complete the course in the given time will be recruited in the band as probationary officer (Junior Management Grade/Scale - 1).

Fee of the course:

·         3 lakh 45 thousand rupees. Fee can be paid in instalments.
