Chief commissioner of Income Tax, Chennai released 32 vacancies for he posts of Income-tax Inspector, Tax Assistant and multi-tasking staff for the Income Tax Department. 
These recruitment will be done on the basis of sports quota. Applicants are required to have represented the country/state/university at international/national/state level.

Income-Tax Inspector, Posts: 07


Eligibility: Bachelor's degree from a recognized university or organisation.

SALARY: 9300-34,800 rupees. Grade pay 4600 rupees.

Tax Assistant, Posts: 11


Eligibility: Bachelor's degree from a recognized university or organisation.

SALARY: 5200-20,200 rupees. Grade pay 2400 rupees.

Multi-Tasking Staff, Posts: 14


Eligibility: High School passed from a recognized board.

SALARY: 5200-20,200 rupees. Grade pay 1800 rupees.

Sports related qualifications:-

  • Participated in international tournaments or competitions like Olympics and World Championship.
  • Participated in international tournaments or events like Asian Games/Commonwealth Games/Afro-Asian Games.
  • Participated in National level(senior) domestic tournaments or events like National Games/National Federation Games.
  • Participated in National level(senior) domestic tournaments or events like National Games/National Federation Games.
  • Participated in National level(junior) domestic tournaments or events.
  • Participated in inter-university tournaments.
  • Participated in National School Games.

Age Limit(on 01st April 2018):

  • Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years.
  • SC/ST will get a relief of 10 years and OBC will get a relief of 5 years  in the maximum age limit.

Selection Procedure:

  • Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of their educational and sports qualifications and on the basis of sport trials.
